Temporary Works Design

Getjar projects often need the support of Temporary Works to achieve their full potential. These can range from simple scaffolds to complex supports for local infrastructure. Thanks to our expert TW team and our focus on planning and preparedness, we have a track record of implementing safe, effective, and efficient Temporary Works.

Our in-house Temporary Works design team handles every project we take on at Getjar. This tight-knit team of five design engineers is led by our Engineering Director, a chartered member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a member of the Temporary Works Forum. The team provides in-house services to our site teams and other Getjar departments, including:

  • Value Engineering. The TW team help with early concepts and designs to ensure we are providing the optimal solution to clients.
  • Formwork and Falsework Design. The team provides detailed, practical solutions, allowing us to build complex concrete structures.
  • Geotechnical Design. The TW team ensures we have safe, stable groundwork schemes in place, working across our reinforced concrete frame and piling projects.
  • Structural Steelwork and Reinforced Concrete Design and Analysis. The team provides detailed analysis and design to ensure the best solutions in temporary and permanent states.
  • Auditing Site Temporary Works. Our team regularly visit sites and undertake audits to ensure temporary works are fit-for-purpose and safe to use.
  • Stakeholder Engagement. All our engineers are experienced in liaising with key stakeholders such as Network Rail and LUL.
  • Category III Checking. The team provides independent checks on critical designs for clients.

On top of our in-house design team, all Getjar sites appoint a CITB certified Temporary Works co-ordinator and supervisor. This allows our clients to rest safe in the knowledge that our Temporary Works procedure is correctly implemented, ensuring a smooth process from concept to decommission.

We have a proven track record for delivering complex Temporary Works schemes which fall in line with current legislation. Our skilled in-house design team and site managers give us the advantage of a streamlined process and reliable quality. Our TW team love to get involved at the earliest possible stage to ensure the best possible solution for our clients.
