The Masterson family company is committed to both the overall health of all people working at our sites, but also to safety beyond our own employees, ensuring that our family ethos stretches out to the wider industry. With over 40+ years of experience and knowledge within our industry, we consider ourselves to be specialists in the field, adopting a proactive health and safety approach, wherein we are constantly improving our internal health and safety policies before new industry wide legislation, advice, or practice comes out. This includes investing in new equipment, plant, and systems to ensure that our processes remain safety orientated. Throughout our decades of working within the industry, we have developed good relationships with industry supply leaders, which that we have the unique ability to lend our advice and make suggestions on products to be rolled out across the industry. This feeds back into our company ethos of striving to share good practice across our industry, to make everyone safer. While working on a Masterson Holdings project, you will notice that health and safety is always at the forefront of everything we do, and this is because we cultivate and encourage an environment with real, genuine concern for the wellbeing of our employees; our safety coordinators are always interested to hear any suggestions from our employees to improve how we operate. Health and safety doesn’t just cover the physical, but also the mental health and wellbeing of employees. All companies operating under the Masterson Holdings Group will have a number of Mental Health Champions in their employ.

Our approach to sustainability involves tackling industry challenges, like our carbon footprint and our carbon emissions, by carefully managing and monitoring our business activities. In light of this, we are committed to being: Carbon Neutral for our Scope 1 and 3 emissions, and our Scope 3 emissions under our direct control, by the end of 2030 Net Zero Carbon by the end of 2040 We published our Net Zero Carbon Policy & Strategy document in August 2022, and this sets our sustainability timeline and the key actions that we will be undertaking to achieve our targets.

As a family owned and run business, we see the huge value of establishing long-term positive relationships with others involved in our activities, both in terms of our clients as well as our suppliers. Through establishing strong links with our clients, we are able to offer constructive advice on their projects at the Pre-Construction, and even Pre-Tender stages to provide maximum value to their submissions. We believe in supporting our valued clients through their tenders from a very early stage, to maximise the buildability and value for money of the end product, for the benefit of the end user. Through cultivating long term relationships with our supply chain in a mutually beneficial manner, our suppliers benefit from prompt and fair payment terms, of which we are renowned and we benefit from excellent support when we need it, whether that is sourcing materials through difficult political climates, or working with them to develop custom solutions, such as technologically advanced concrete mix designs. While our ethos is to maximise in-house delivery of our services, we also see great benefit from partnering with a select group of designers who are able to offer their expert skills for the more unusual or specialist applications, such as post-tensioning, pre-cast and complex temporary works designs.
