40 Leadenhall - BIM Case Study

40 Leadenhall Street, London EC3M 2RY

Atlantic Contracts were instructed by Mace Construction to contribute to the design of this iconic project in London, a flagship development that blends modern architectural design with cutting-edge construction technologies. Atlantic Contracts BIM role focused on the Joinery BIM modelling, with a particular emphasis on the high-quality fit-out of the building’s front-of-house areas.

Project Scope and Delivery

Atlantic Contracts BIM scope involved the creation of a detailed BIM model for various bespoke architectural elements within the front-of-house areas, including joinery, wall panels, seating, and other custom features. These models were developed to an LOD350 standard, ensuring they met the exacting specifications required for the high-profile development.

Key Deliverables:

Custom BIM Objects: Creation of BIM models for bespoke joinery items, including booth seating, bookshelves, and wall panels, as well as specialty architectural features such as the bespoke reception desk and coffee bar.

Data-Rich Models: All BIM elements were populated with COBie data, providing Atlantic Contracts with comprehensive asset information for facility management and future maintenance.

As-Built BIM Model: At the project’s close-out stage, Atlantic Contracts delivered an as-built model, reflecting all on-site modifications and providing a definitive record for the client.
