Space House, 1 Kemble St, London WC2B 4AN

Originally built in 1968, this Grade II listed, landmark building comprises of two interconnected blocks and is well known for its innovative architecture, with a striking grid-like façade made of pre-cast concrete.

Designed by Richard Seifert & Partners, the building was first occupied by the Civil Aviation Authority and will now be brought back to life with an extensive redevelopment to deliver a highly sustainable, smart building designed to BREEAM Outstanding.  

Squire and Partners has led the redesign of the buildings which will include the construction of two new floors of office accommodation on top of the existing 15 storey tower, a top floor extension to the interconnected eight storey block and reconfiguration of the internal cores and basement levels.
