PT Frames

We regularly offer our clients value engineering solutions for their projects, including the use of post-tensioned frames (PT frames). Our in-house design team can offer full post-tensioning solutions across a range of complex projects, including highly loaded, multi-strand beams for large-scale construction projects. Post-tensioning is an innovative method of constructing concrete frames that uses less materials for a more efficient build. It combines traditional concreting techniques with high-strength steel tendons. These are placed in sleeves within the concrete, and are used to increase tension to compress the concrete, providing additional strength and stability. PT Frames are an excellent choice for clients who are looking to use their budgets more efficiently, or who are interested in actioning more sustainable construction methods. With the power of tensioning, PT frames achieve a similar level of support using less concrete than traditional RC frames. Getjar is supported by our internal plant company, Glencoe. Glencoe holds a vast stock of plant and equipment that is necessary to carry out a large range of works and projects. For supporting our PT frame operations, this includes all of the necessary calibrated and certified jacking equipment associated with the stressing of the tendons. Along with our design partners, we can help at any stage in the construction process, from initial design & appraisal all the way through to a full design, supply & installation service.
