Crown Place

London

Crown Place is a mixed use development on the edge of Broadgate in the city, comprising a 9 storey commercial office space with 2 Residential towers founding on a complex steel transfer structure going up to 30 and 34 storeys.

Our work commenced following piling and bulk excavation at B3 level, where we constructed the basement raft slab. This was completed in a large volume pour in excess of 2500m3, this was undertaken in one operation on a Saturday. We then slip formed the main cores from B3 to Level 12, followed by going straight up to construct the Gnd Floor which required falsework decking with propping heights of 11m. this facilitated the steel frame to commence early to the commercial space, whilst we undertook the construction of the B1 slab underneath and shotcrete concrete placement to the basement Liner walls.

Following completion of the steel frame to the commercial frame, we then commenced the RC Frame to the residential tower from Level 10, this was executed by assembling 2 Jumpform rigs to construct the cores, followed by the installation of perimeter protection screens to provide a safe fully enclosed environment to construct the RC floor plates to Roof level.
