Falcon Wharf

Situated on the southern bank of the River Thames next to the London Heliport. Falcon Wharf is a large residential and commercial high rise development. The traditional 18 story concrete frame included many complicated features, the most obvious being the building shape.

Other features within the building included spiral staircases, 5 storey high feature columns, acid etched stair flights, large cantilevered slab edge to entire floor plan at 5th floor and continuous fin walls for the full height of the structure.

Due to the location of the building (with the adjacent heliport, river, trunk road, public footways), the client required absolute control and containment of the construction process. This, as you can see from the photos, was achieved using a total edge protection system which provided an enclosed working environment over 3 floors and cantilevered above the working level.
