Highpoint, Newington Butts

Getjar mobilised to complete the structure from the 27th floor (to the 47th floor), as well as elements of substructure on the project.

The core structure utilised the Doka SCP jumpform system, the first to be used (and removed) in the UK, whereby the core structure was fully encapsulated. Within the jumpform system, provision was made for the installation of PCC stair flights (through an access hatch), and independent access using a proprietary stair that was hung from the jumpform rig itself. The jumpform system allowed the core to be removed from the superstructure critical path.

The floor plates were constructed as RC slabs, with PCC perimeter walls and Twin-Wall shear walls. This methodology allowed for reduce hook time, facilitating early erection of falsework decking, and was rationalised for the upper floor construction.
